WHAT IS VANET

  • It is a form of Mobile Ad hoc Network, in which vehicles act as a host as well as router for propagating information to the near by vehicles and road side equipments to improve the quality and efficiency of driving in terms of time, safety and speed.
  • It is a key component of Intelligent transportation system
  • More often known as Inter vehicle communication and have less dependence on the infrastructure
